The Level 1 Professional Services Engineer is responsible for performing PC (laptop, desktop, and mobile workstation) builds, imaging and application installation and configuration, as well as other client project and service case work as required. Strong aptitude in operating systems, desktop hardware/software, spyware/virus removal, troubleshooting, and desktop upgrades. Sets up and loads computer equipment with required items and prepares computer equipment for operation. Provides delivery and deployment to customer sites and users. Works with the Level 2 and 3 Professional Services engineers to complete project tasks as required.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and process incoming computer hardware and peripherals, and prepare for setup and imaging.
Assess, build, install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software (Desktops, Laptops, OS, Applications).
Understand technical configurations, collaborate with other engineers and users, conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems, and provide technical assistance and support.
Respond promptly and professionally at all times to prospects, clients and fellow team members.
Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to create and test solutions for hardware and software configurations.
Install and perform modifications to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Set up equipment for employee and customer use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
Confer with staff, customers, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
Recommend improvements or upgrades for internal/external hardware or software to meet demand.
Record all service work inService Cloud PSA case management system,and enter time against customer billing records
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
Participate in company sponsored job related activities and training to further develop your technical skills.
Acquire and maintain relevant technical certifications as directed by supervisors.
Work with Professional Services Manager and Professional Services Team on projects and consulting

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: IT or related technical field
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: IT or related technical field
Experience:1-2 years of experience in network / IT systems and troubleshooting steps.
Computer Skills:Proficiency with information technology regarding both hardware and software. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems, specifically Server 2008 and 2012 and Windows 7 and 8.
Certifications & Licenses:IT industry certification are preferred, specifically Microsoft and Cisco.
