Req Ref No: JNIAMC902 Location: Davenport, IA Duration: 4.0 months Description Description: Coordinates the flow of materials in multiple departments of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product(s). Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory. Works in larger and broader groups. May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers. Duties: Coordinates for multiple departments the procuring, expediting, producing and delivering material on time. Includes managing the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds and corrects root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability. Implements the output from the engineering release and change management process. Specific Position Requirements Manager is looking for a Material Coordinator. This position will focus in the inventory accuracy aspects of the Material Coordinator position outlined above in job description. This position performs root cause analysis and problem resolution related to the inventory cycle count process and resolves production inventory issues. Required skills: ADVANCED Microsoft Excel user, spreadsheet analysis, functions, charting. Ability to collect data from various sources and problem solve. Ability to interact with multiple functional groups to collect data and resolve issues. Manager looking for candidates to have degree in Business related field. High attention to detail is a must. HM open to recent grads, with no experience Bachelors degree required. Manager will consider candidates in pursuit of a degree and candidates with associates degree. Also, military experience. Job will entail duties across multiple shifts. Applicants must understand that off-shift hours of input are highly likely throughout the year as well as weekend/daily Overtime. 1st shift - Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, but candidate needs to be open to working on 3rd shift after training as well, Monday-Friday 7pm-4:30am 40-50 hours per week, including some weekends/OT, All positions are subject to changing schedules (flex as needed).
