LocationUS-Iowa-DavenportDate Posted11 Jan 2019 Cobham is seeking a Material Control Analyst II to develop and deploy a plan for the Davenport facility to get to 5x turns by coordinating with master scheduler, planners, buyers, and manufacturing. In addition, they will develop stocking strategies & policies to effectively optimize customer demand and inventory management. This position is located in Davenport, IA. Key Responsibilities:Map out customer lead times versus internal and external lead times, and assist in recommending stocking strategies and plans to reduce them.Conduct detailed inventory analysis , identify root cause and drive corrective actions,Understand inventory valuation, and forecasting modelsReview BOM accuracy, cycle count accuracy, and material variance analysis for site and develop improvement plansUnderstand where inventory is held for each business, on site, at customers, at suppliers, in distribution channel, aftermarket repair depotDrive Disposition on excess, inactive, and obsolete inventory (alternative uses return, sell to customer, scrap, etc.)Identify inventory drivers in planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality etc.participate in creating inventory strategies driven by customer contract or marketUnderstand how much inventory is held in safety stock and continuously drive to reduceAnalyze and prepares reports with recommended action for slow moving itemsMonitor the monthly changes in inventory levels and analyze root cause of changes.Identify projects for SC leadership to sponsor to reduce inventory. (Create problem statement)Forecast inventory monthly and monitor and track performance to inventory reduction projects.As required, work with the IT department to develop reports or functional system changes to enhance the monitoring of items on the systems and reporting and analysis of inventory.Review and approve all part master items that would require safety stock, Kanban, or min/max as a check and balance with the planner and manufacturing.Provide and maintain accurate data and statistical reports & graphs to management to enhance daily operations as to insuring specified goals are attained. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree5+ years experience in Inventory planning, inventory analysis, and supply chain analysis.Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, vlookups, logical formulas, macros, and/or MS Access.Advanced experience using ERP/MRP systemsThis position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.
