As a LOA (Leave of Absence) Administrator, you will collaborate with HR partners and other internal leaders across multiple locations and business units and administer leave of absence and workers’ compensation in accordance with HR policies, state and federal laws. The LOA Administrator will act as a front-line point of contact for employee inquiries related to Leave of Absence. Additionally, the LOA Administrator acts as a liaison between associates and 3rd party vendors as well as internal Benefits, Payroll, Employee Relations teams. This is a critical role to the HR Department as you will grow the role and establish yourself to be the subject matter expert and go-to person for employees and managers.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Serve as primary contact for leave programs (inquiries, intake and through duration of leave)
Track and conduct necessary follow up on all LOA inquiries and approved leaves from time of request through employee return
Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding the leave of absence process
Maintain detailed knowledge of disability programs, leaves of absences, FMLA
Ensure proper compliance with LOA, DOL, EEOC, and Wage and Hour provisions
Provide management support with recommendations and guidance regarding FMLA requirements
Support and drive enhancements of workflows through SharePoint
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operations of this developing position.

We are seeking a LOA Administrator who brings a foundational understanding of FMLA, ADA and LOA paired with a collaborative work style. Strong candidates will demonstrate highly effective communication skills, a sense of innovation in how they approach change and developing processes, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications and competencies sought:
Knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws, including Leaves of Absence and FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA
Bachelor’s degree in HR (Human Resources) or related field
2+ years HR or related experience with at least one year directly involved with Leaves of Absences is preferred
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is highly valued
Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage potentially difficult and stressful situation
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
