IA WESTERN COMM COLLEGE Adjunct Electrical Technology Instructor in COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa

Iowa Western is currently seeking an Adjunct Electrical Technology Instructor to join our exciting and student-focused team at our beautiful SW Iowa Campus, in Council Bluffs Iowa. The Adjunct Electrical Technology Instructor is responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the Dean. Currently, looking for candidates who can teach during the day at center locations during our academy times. Candidates interviewed may be required to provide a teaching demonstration.Required Qualifications:iBacheloris degree in Electrical OR 6000 hours work experience. Usage of an online learning management system is required.Preferred Qualifications:iTeaching experience is preferred. Candidate for this position should have expertise in electrical field. Expertise should include proper wiring, bending, evaluating amps, safety, and blueprint reading. Must maintain lab safety and cleanliness through instructional activities.Physical Demands:iOccasional lifting of 10 lbs., ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use a phone and some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision. High level of problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
