Cold Chain Logistics Clerk

Reports to: Assistant Manager of Logistics

Employment Status: Non Exempt

Job Profile: O2 - Shipping/Receiving and Distribution

Location: Coralville

Division: Integrated Supply Chain

Department: Logistics

Shift: Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm

During COVID-19 Shift Divisions this position will be assigned a Monday-Friday 6am to 2pm shift.

Purpose statement:

The Cold Chain Logistics Clerk prepares and processes all plate and temperature-controlled products. This position completes and files documentation for cold chain shipments and serves as backup for Logistics Clerks.

Essential Functions:

  • Picks, packs and ships plate-based products

  • Picks, packs, and ships dry ice and other temperature-controlled shipments

  • Prepares airbills, commercial invoices and hazardous materials documentation

  • Stocks and orders supplies for cold chain workstations

  • Utilizes software suites in the completion of duties

  • Makes Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings

  • Performs the duties of a Logistics Clerk as necessary

  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Valid Iowa driver’s license required

Professional Experience:

  • Previous IDT shipping experience preferred

  • DOT 7-hour hazardous materials training (completed within 90 days of employment) required

  • Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
