Aerotek Call Center Representative in Coralville, Iowa
We are looking for a candidate to handle 1 of 2 different types of operational activities.
Phone Appts Team—calling to schedule pick up and delivery appointments, updating warehouse notes and prioritizing which appointments to set first by dates shipping/delivering and if they have a same day appt requirement. Right now they are also doing some email and websites scheduling but we are trying to get some of those off of our plate to a centralized team. 80-100/ day average. Escalating delays to the appropriate account team.
Tracking & Tracing Team- phone calls and reports--80-100/ day call average. tracking drivers through reports/phone calls to make sure they are on time for pickup/delivery. Escalating delays to the appropriate account team.
The hours are M-F 7:30am to 5pm, employee can take either 30 minute or 1 hour lunch
Customer Service, Transportation, Logistics, Retail, Waiter/Waitress, Microsoft Excel
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1 plus year of customer service experience (can be in an office or retail, restaurant etc..)
Must be able to type 35 plus WPM
Must have a high school diploma (this is verified)
• Fast pace environment
• Able to manage black & white (follow SOP instructions) but also able to navigate in the grey. If given an end result to a situation, can they work through an issue to get to that result on their own
• Ability to multi task & prioritize
• Self-motivated; ability to stay on task without direction
• Strong communication skills: On the phone with shippers, receiver and carriers. Must be able to speak clearly to obtain appointments, provide updates and/or receive tracking updates from a carrier
Strong Attention to details
Knowledge of basic Excel is preferred
