General Description and Essential Functions
Manage a team within the L&D Department to facilitate bank training programs for all levels of staff. Continually evaluate L&D initiatives and recommend methods of improvement. Responsible for reviewing and critiquing training content to ensure it meets the L&D standards.
Manage a team within the L&D Department. Responsible for the overall performance and development of staff along with assigned projects, compliance standards, and training calendar.
Approve the content, design, implementation and delivery of broad base training programs to meet identified needs. This will include working with various levels of management to conduct needs analysis to identify relevant issues.
Monitor training effectiveness related to content and facilitations.
Fully responsible for a variety of on-going learning programs.
Coordinates and delivers training through various delivery channels which include web based and in person, and facilitates group workshops.
Respond to and resolve service requests according to Great Western Bank policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner at all time.
Ensure training material is in compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide day-to-day oversight, direction, coaching and professional development to staff.
Serve as an advocate for a workplace that welcomes, supports and celebrates diversity, inclusion and social responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education and Learning, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Management or Business Administration is preferred.
Five plus years of training experience, with three plus years of banking experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to develop written content and express thoughts clearly, concisely, and accurately.
Must possess excellent presentations skills.
Must be able to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
