United Farmers Cooperative Agronomy/Grain Operations in Clearfield, Iowa

BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:Responsible for grain handling and agronomy. To perform functions that may include maintenance of equipment, plant, rolling stock, operation of forklifts, loaders and other duties as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:i Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.i Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.i Read and follow company employee policies.i Take responsibility for good grain condition, and monthly facility inspections, as by OSHA inspection standards.i Performs required preventative maintenance and have all preventative maintenance reports turned in on time.i Be familiar with seed, chemical, and fertilizer products.i Clean up of grain spills.i Dumping and receiving of producersi grain.i Maintaining grain inventory moistures and temperatures of silos and tanks.i Load and fill UAN and NH3 equipment.i Operate tender trucks to apply products to the appropriate fields.i Completion of safety reports and required records.i Assist in loading and unloading company and customer vehicles with product based upon work order or customer tickets.i Keeps Location Manager informed of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise.i Promotes the business to existing and potential customers.i Assists in keeping all inside and outside work areas clean and orderly.i Exhibit good customer relations skills.i Develop operational knowledge to assist in other departments.i Work the amount of hours needed to complete appropriate duties and responsibilities which may involve early morning and/or late evening hours; including occasional weekends during seasonal times.i Assist in maintenance of equipment.i Continuously follows the safety guidelines and safety programs established by United Farmers Cooperative.i Performs other duties as directed by Location Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:i High school diploma or general education degree (GED)i Possess valid Class A CDL with endorsements, or willing to obtain.i Acceptable motor vehicle record / satisfactory driving record.EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:i Agricultural background.i 1-3 yearsi related experience and/or training.i Technical experience working with equipment.i Must be able to manage time effectively.i Possess good written and oral communication skills.WORK ENVIRONMENT:i Irregular work hours as need arises.i Exposed to outdoor weather conditions and elements, and high noise levels.i Exposure to dust, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
