Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage overall project requirements, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.

• Coordinate control engineering, industrial engineering, organizational studies, and project management.

• Monitor budgets, cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and make recommendations to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.

• Manage work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects.

• Research, evaluate and recommend investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.

• Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and make recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements

  Required Qualifications:

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 8 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role in the Avionics industry. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role in the Avionics industry would be acceptable.

• At least 5 years of experience with capturing and analyzing customer requirements and decomposing into system and subsystem requirements using the Jama requirements management tool

• At least 5 years of experience with validating system and subsystem requirements for completeness and correctness

• At least 5 years of experience with developing system level design artifacts spanning multiple avionics functional areas

• At least 5 years of experience with developing system verification procedures and conducting ad-hoc testing, requirement-based testing, regression testing, functional confidence testing, and latency testing

• At least 5 years of experience with analyzing and identifying resolutions to avionics snags arising from both internal and customer flight test

• At least 5 years of experience with conducting formal system verification and facilitating safety of flight de-terminations

• At least 5 years of experience with conducting formal system verification and facilitating safety of flight de-terminations

• At least 5 years of experience with working on a multifunctional team adhering to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

The salary range for this position is $96,366.00 to $196,000.00 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
