Job Summary

Our team is looking for self-motivated and passionate engineers to help solve problems, and to find ways to continuously improve. Come gain experience in leading technology and manufacturing processes.

The Industrial Engineering Co-op position will work with the Data Links IPT in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility. This position is for an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing. If selected, the employee will become familiar with production management objectives along with product quality issues associated with state of the art manufacturing techniques and engineering programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Production floor support for tooling, fixture and fixture design, and production processes.

  • Assist in various IE-related projects (i.e. Lean, Audit Prep and Response)

  • Work with Production Managers to find and correct inefficiencies, resulting in improved productivity.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card) is required.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Experience and/or coursework with 3D Modeling; i.e SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.

  • Experience and/or coursework with Lean
