SUMMARY The Human Resources Manager serves as a Generalist in the areas of employee/labor relations, training and development, staffing, performance management, benefits, compensation, communication, and legal issues and as the direct supervisor for the Human Resources function in our Cedar Rapids, IA facility. The Human Resources Manager acts as a business partner to the management staff in the Production and Sales organizations and develops, interprets and communicates Human Resources policies and procedures to the team. Responsibilities: * Provide counsel and guidance to the Production, Operation, and Sales teams regarding policies, procedures, and state and federal regulatory compliance requirements. * Develop, implement and coordinate Human Resource policies and programs. Provide advice, assistance and follow up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. * Oversee and assist with the company's performance management system and conduct performance management reviews. * Handle disciplinary situations including discharge and suspension for hourly and salaried employees. * Investigate employee concerns such as harassment and discrimination claims, and recommend course of action. * Attend Union and Supervisory meetings.
