What You Will Do: The Operations Service Management group provides oversite of strategic vendor partners throughout the stages of the engagement lifecycle. The team supports achievement of business objectives through optimization of the sourcing vendor. This includes SLA’s, contract requirements, incident management, and project execution. The Operations producer support group provides assistance to our distribution partners related to policy administration activities. Provides leadership and direction through senior managers and managers.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Act as a representative of the business/process as the functional sourcing and servicing strategy is developed.

  • Partner with the business to understand and articulate business and processing requirements as input into contract development/maintenance processes; ensures adherence to the contract and issue escalation process.

  • Oversee the intake process for business execution and processing activities

  • Facilitate successful completion of initiatives between the third party and Transamerica.

  • Provide departmental process transition support including training; ramp up as necessary.

  • Apply business process modeling techniques to develop processes and procedures.

  • Partner with business and third party on volumes forecasting and resource capacity planning.

  • Drive functional performance oversight processes, reporting, metrics, and governance.

  • Lead and direct service level validation activities against defined criteria (CPI/KPI).

  • Serve as the first of escalation from the third party; lead and manage monitoring of day-to-day activity with business and third party.

  • Lead functional team meetings and one-on-one meetings with third party and business to maintain relationships and ensure adequate support.

  • Oversee feedback mechanism across parties; drive a resolution-oriented environment; effectively communicate feedback within the performance scorecard.

  • Direct the third-party escalation process including investigations, tracking, and resolution of problems as they occur and develop sustainable solutions resulting in minimal recurrence.

  • Direct continuous improvement initiatives lead by the third-party including project oversight and internal implementation.

  • Review and validate third party produced management reporting packages.

  • Liaise between the business and third party to ensure all Transamerica framework(s) and company policy requirements including implementation and oversight of internal controls; provide assistance to both parties during financial and operational audit and regulatory review activities.

  • Exhibit understanding of the company’s internal control framework to align handoffs and map control activities between parties.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in business administration, operations management, or applicable field, or equivalent experience.

  • Eight years of relevant experience, including five years working directly with vendors.

  • Thorough knowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trends.

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to a broad audience.

  • Project management, organization and prioritization skills to handle multiple projects.

  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Prefer extensive knowledge of accounting functions (e.g. reporting, investments, insurance products,), technology or operations, depending on governance support role.

  • Strong Annuity operations experience preferred.

  • Performance operations leadership experience preferred.

  • Experience in annuity distribution as it relates to operation’s needs.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment.

  • Moderate travel.

    Compensation

    *Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. *

    Compensation

The salary rate for this position generally ranges between $131,000 - $216,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility

This position is also typically eligible for Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 20%.
