Seeking a leader with strong leadership and technical skills to lead the Collins Shared Service General Accounting team supporting the Avionics, Mission and Interiors businesses. This leader will be responsible for both the Intercompany and General Ledger teams in Cedar Rapids. The Intercompany team is involved in the full contract to cash process by consulting with the business on new scenarios all the way through the lifecycle to clearing of open items through cash settlement. The General Ledger team is responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, cost transfers, project settlement and cash application for the heritage Rockwell Collins businesses.
The role provides exposure to a variety of business areas with regular interactions with Finance business leaders, Tax, Treasury, and peer groups in Enterprise Services.
Role Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Coaching leaders and employees
Driving process improvement initiatives
Setting strategic direction for teams
Ensuring adherence to control procedures
Supporting business initiatives such as SAP go-lives
Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience OR
In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is Required.
