Position Description:Counsels and advises students and parents on eligibility for various financial aid programs and alternative ways of financing college through various communication methods; coordinates the scholarship selection process for multicultural scholarship initiatives, including the UNI RISE Scholars Award; coordinates external scholarship initiatives for prospective and transfer student populations; administers the day-to-day functions of work study, including Community Service Learning; compiles and monitors the work-study and departmental work accounts; and organizes and participates in financial aid outreach functions.Percent of Time/Week:100%Service Schedule:Calendar YearEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree required.Required Qualifications:At least one year of experience counseling students in higher education required. Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills including public speaking experience is required.
