The Iowa Lottery is recruiting to hire a transport driver to join our warehouse team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will drive a straight truck to deliver lottery products, marketing materials and operational supplies to the Lottery's regional offices in Cedar Rapids, Mason City, Storm Lake and Council Bluffs. Perform loading and unloading duties; select product to be shipped and check selected products against shipping orders; complete post-trip vehicle inspection reports.
The successful candidate will also regularly assist warehouse staff to fulfill ticket orders from 2300+ retailers and prepare the orders for shipment via a courier.
Duties include picking, packaging, and labeling of retailer orders. Receive and store incoming products and ensure adequate storage space in the central warehouse. Participate in physical inventory of all receipts of instant game tickets. Safely operate warehouse equipment, including a conveyor system and fork lift used in the storing, picking, packaging and labeling of Lottery products weighing up to 55 lbs.
This position is based out of Ankeny, Iowa.
The successful candidate must have a current Class B CDL and must be able to pass DOT drug testing and physical exam.
Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check.

Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at time of hire.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Experience equal to two years of full-time work operating heavy trucks or tractor-trailers exceeding four tons.
A total of two years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where satisfactory completion of a truck driving program approved by the Iowa Department of Education from an accredited college or vocational school equals six months of full-time experience
