Purfoods Supply Chain Project Analyst in Ankeny, Iowa
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Professional to be part of the Supply Chain Team. This position requires some level of cross-functional Supply Chain experience and will be expected to actively contribute ideas and help the broader Team implement Supply Chain improvement projects. Candidate must be open to constant change as this position, while having some identified responsibilities, will be constantly evolving as areas of opportunity are identified. Your day will be varied and constantly changing.
Identifies and collects data that is critical to implementing Supply Chain process improvements in the organization.
Mines data looking for areas of process improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement Supply Chain processes, including training other Supply Chain teammates and cross-functional departments in implementation.
Brainstorm improvement ideas with other functions. Many of these opportunities will be identified by job shadowing and working in various functions to help identify process improvements.
Proposes and helps implement new projects that reduces costs, increases efficiencies, and build total cost models that support these recommendations.
Analyze historical data to identify and recommend KPIs that help drive an optimized Supply Chain.
Actively participate on cross-functional teams that focus on continuous improvement in the processes that impact, or are impacted by the Supply Chain function.
Partner with appropriate functions to develop, monitor, and adjust as needed, inventory level plans that ensure uninterrupted supply of inventory.
Work with Purchasing, Logistics, and Warehousing, to help develop plans for the most efficient, lowest cost movement of inventory.
Other duties as assigned. It is estimated that >50% of this role is yet to be defined.
Minimal travel required
Minimum of five years of Supply Chain experience
Must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally in a collaborative manner
Must be able to influence others using data and experience, all while respecting and supporting the priorities and objectives of other functions
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Multiple Supply Chain functional experience preferred
Associates degree in Business discipline preferred
Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
