Danaher Corporation Supply Chain Analyst II in Ames, Iowa
The Supply Chain Analyst assists in providing direction and hands-on involvement for interacting systems such as, planning, purchasing, and manufacturing. Will be the main backup for Planners and is responsible for learning multiple areas. Obtain data and prepare reports for management as requested. Reports generally routine in nature but may involve some customization. Assists in process creation for the optimization of delivery and inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is the source for information and technical assistance on how the supply chain systems work and interact. This includes Oracle ERP and Planning Central. Troubleshoots problem situations.
Back-ups other Planners
Assists with planning processes and overall inventory management to optimize inventory and OTD.
Supports manufacturing processes and improvements
Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports that analyze KPI data
Assists with action plans, root cause and countermeasures for KPIs and PD objectives.
Participate in and/or facilitate kaizen or improvement project teams
Performs item master maintenance
Supports NPI projects
Bachelor’s degree, preference in Supply Chain Management or related field
2 – 3 years Supply Chain experience, preference for production planning
APICS or ISM certified or willing within two years of hire
Experience with ERP system
Good computer skills (word processing, queries, spreadsheets, etc.)
Ability to work with cross functional teams across different levels of the organization
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
Could be 5-10% domestic travel for kaizens or benchmarking
