Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Engineering Research Institute at Iowa State University is seeking qualified applicants to serve as the Program Coordinator I for the Center for Multiphase Flow Research and Education (CoMFRE), which is a new ISU center administered by the College of Engineering.

The Program Coordinator I will be the administrative point-of-contact for CoMFRE. This position will coordinate interactions with CoMFRE-affiliated faculty and industrial members. This position will manage all pre-award functions and post-award amendments for CoMFRE-associated grants and contracts. This position will collaborate, advise, and assist faculty in the preparation of proposals for federal and non-federal agencies; develop and prepare proposal budgets including subcontracts. The Program Coordinator I will also establish timelines; initiate, route, and approve Goldsheets; apply editorial expertise and formatting requirements; and utilize extensive experience in grant and contract submissions to interact with funding agencies and resolve questions that arise during preparation. This position will coordinate post-award amendments on contracts and grants, including rebudgets and extensions. This position will also provide daily communication needs for CoMFRE, including a social media presence.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop complex projects. This position will require additional hours on occasion to meet submission deadlines. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 6 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience.
