Danaher Corporation Order Management Coordinator II in Ames, Iowa
The Order Management Coordinator is responsible for executing to customer demands by coordinating with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Support, and Sales to ensure timely order shipment. The specialist is instrumental in providing top tier customer support and delivery execution. The Specialist makes decisions on appropriate stock allocation during times of limited availability to maximize objectives and improve the overall customer experience. This person does provide training to new associates.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Overtime may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate and provide updates on order status to Global Sales and Operations teams
Coordinate customer priorities with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Distribution
Review and execute shipments on high dollar orders and large ship complete orders to ensure shipment by customer need date
Makes decision on stock allocation to maximize objectives and key customer accounts
Coordinate off-site shipment process special orders
Coordinate complex project orders with Sales and Operations (getting serial numbers, compiling test certificates, moving material, making tags, etc.)
Communicate delivery delays to internal/external customers
Run daily reports
Handles more complex issues related to order flow
Follow up on Build-to-Order jobs with Operations to ensure on time delivery
Root Cause Aging orders for shipment execution and process improvement
Ability to prioritize workload based on customer impact while maintaining professional demeanor
Train other associates to processes
Actively engages with teams to provide a high level of responsiveness and urgency to solve problems
Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills by working independently and engaging appropriate cross functional teams to address issues.
High School education/GED equivalent required
3 years related experience in customer (internal/external) facing role or at least 2-year experience at Coordinator, Order Management level
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a global environment with different levels of the organization by phone, email, and in-person
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Proficient in ERP systems, which could include inventory management, planning, or distribution
