Renewable Energy Group Analyst, Transportation in Ames, Iowa
The purpose of this role is to execute on technology and analytics for the Transportation team. Our systems allow us to be an industry leader in the production and distribution of renewable fuels. Our team manages the supply chain for all shipments, primarily by rail, truck, barge for all commodities this role will manage the modeling of all systems and optimization of loads both inbound and outbound.
Participate in multiple projects simultaneously; update key stakeholders, leading cost justification, outlining and achieving milestones, managing stakeholder expectations.
Research and implement computer-based systems to deliver on team needs.
Validate results to ensure data integrity for reports or files produced.
Assist with Transportation Department’s system strategy for future growth.
Assist with system conversions, upgrades, enhancements and associated trainings.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities.
Elicit and clearly define business systems and requirements.
Assess business systems and reporting inefficiencies.
Understand and negotiate needs of multiple stakeholders.
Regularly review project deliverables and deadlines.
Develop and execute test plans.
Deliver reporting and presentation of KPI’s for the Transportation team.

Preferred Education: 4-year Bachelor’s degree – Supply Chain Management, Information Systems/Technology, or related degree; 3-5 years of experience may be substituted for education.
Preferred Experience: 1 year of Logistics experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of TMS and ERP Systems
Sales and analytical thinking skills
OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)
Strong knowledge of analytical software
Working knowledge of data visualization software (Tableau, Power Bi, IBM Watson)
