Position Purpose:

JOB SUMMARY: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides quality patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings through collaboration with physicians. Assists the Palliative Care Coordinator in the administrative and daily operations of the Palliative Medicine Department.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education [formal]:

A. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

  1. Graduate of a Masters of Nursing Program

  2. Successful completion of certification

  3. Current licensure in the state of Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse

B. Experience

  1. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

a). Demonstrated competence, with two years experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner working with patients with chronic illness preferred.
