Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status.Duties:In collaboration with the spine surgeons, multidisciplinary team, and Orthopaedic Department Administrator, coordinates the continual monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness and operations of the Spine Service. Assist with identification and implementation of process improvement projects and service line advancements in order to improve patient outcomes and decrease complications. Assist with implementation of methods to capture appropriate billing/coding documentation in the EMR.Education Required:ARNP: A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.PA: Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.Experience Required:3-5 years of patient care experience is required.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of orthopaedic patient care are required.Experience working in surgical inpatient or operating room setting is required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment or promoting a diverse environment is required.Certifications:ARNP: Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
