Work activities include picking, weeding, cleaning, grading, sorting, packing and loading apples and pumpkins. General apple orchard tree and trellis maintenance on occasion and perform any other orchard related duties. Housing and utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. The employer will also provide ( on a regular basis) transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. The employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of 3/4 of the hours and workdays of the total specified period during which the work contract and all extensions thereof are in effect, beginning with the first day after a worker arrives at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or extensions thereof. For workers who complete 50 percent of the work period, the employer will reimburse the worker for costs incurred by the worker for transportation and reasonable subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer which is the place of recruitment (persons recruited from outside normal commuting distance) subsistence will be reimbursed at the rate of $12.07 per day without documentation and of actual expenditures, and at actual cost up to a maximum of $51.00 per day with documentation of actual expenditures. The amount of reimbursement for transportation shall be the worker's actual cost, but no more than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. If the worker completes the period of employment, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker came to work for the employer which is the place of recruitment. Neither the ETA nor the State of Wisconsin Job Service are guarantors of the accuracy or truthfulness of the information from the employer. However, if any material misrepresentation is made by the employer, procedures of the Employment Service Complaint System at 20CFR 658, subpart F apply. No Clearance Order accepted or recruited upon by the Wisconsin Job Service constitutes a contractual job offer to which the ETA or the Wisconsin Job Service is in any way a party. Both entities only provide employment assistance.
