Full time, hours vary between 5:30 am - 2 pm and 10:30 am - 7 pm to equal 80 hours per pay period. Must work every other weekend. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares entrees, soups, and vegetables according to menus and recipes maintaining high quality standards.Prepare and serve foods to patients, public and co-workers according to federal, state and local codes.In the absence of the Director and Coordinator, is the lead staff member of the Dietary Department.Provide to patient their requested choices from selective menus.Keep work area and equipment clean and sanitized.Run cash register and interact with customers in a pleasant manner.Demonstrates values and behaviors according to Values Statement.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be able to perform duties of Baker and Dietary Aide.Able to do basic math calculation to convert recipes.Knowledge of chemicals and their proper use.Ability to follow written and oral instruction to plan work schedule.Basic computer skills.Ability to operate kitchen equipment.Able to follow standardized recipes.Keep current in sanitation, modified diets, and infection control according to local, state and federal regulations.Education and Experience:High school graduate or equivalent.Must take a sanitation course and a modified diet course.One year of experience in hospital, nursing home, school, or restaurant preferred.QualificationsSkillsPreferredStrong Work Ethic IntermediateTeam Player IntermediatePositive Mental Attitude IntermediateGeneral Computer Knowledge Some KnowledgeFlexibility IntermediateBehaviorsPreferredTeam Player: Works well as a member of a groupEducationPreferredHigh School or better in General Business.ExperiencePreferred1 year: Experience in hospital, nursing home, school or restaurant preferred
